Service Guidelines
Confidentiality
We promise to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information and data disclosed in the performance of our professional services. We respect your privacy and adhere to the Code of Ethics, established by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). If you are interested in learning more about NAPO’s Code of Ethics, please visit http://www.napo.net/our_profession/ethics.aspx.
Donations
All purged items will be hauled away to a local charity at no additional fee. A general list of items and a tax-deductible receipt will be mailed to you. Unless otherwise instructed, donations will be given to the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center in Plano.
Payment Policy
Organize Your Environment will work within your budget and your schedule. Larger projects can be broken down into smaller phases and “homework” can be assigned in between scheduled appointments. Our rates are reasonable and are charged on an hourly basis; a three-hour minimum is required.
Payment is accepted by check, cash, or money order. Checks should be made payable to “Organize Your Environment”. There will be a charge of $35 for any checks returned for insufficient funds or any bank draft items that are not payable for any reason.
Cancellation Policy
We respectfully request that cancellations of a scheduled appointment should be done within 48 hours prior to the date scheduled. Failure to keep any appointment without prior notification or failure to cancel an appointment within 48 hours prior to the appointment time will be charged a fee equal to one hour of consulting time. This fee may be waived due to extenuating emergency circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
